Our 12 year old son has been having weekly drum lessons with Ben for 5 years now, he loves it and is well on the way to grade 5.

After being taught by Ben for over a year and a half, I can say it was worth every penny as he is patient, helpful, adaptive and overall a kind human being; his technical ability is of a high level which gives him the ability to teach all levels and ages of players.

One example of his adaptive nature was when I came into a lesson with a bizarre groove that I didn't quite understand, so he broke it down piece by piece and scored it for me, which was really helpful and valuable for my understanding of notation as a drummer.

I can't recommend Ben highly enough. He's very good at explaining the basics for new learners and has the knowledge to go as deep as you want into more advanced topics. He also creates a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and makes it easy to feel comfortable enough to try new things and make mistakes from which you can learn so much. He also makes himself available outside of lessons and answers any questions you might have without having to wait for the next lesson, which I know I appreciate.

Before joining or playing with a band, Ben pushed me and gave great advice on how you audition for bands and what to expect. I definitely wouldn't have achieved most of my drumming goals without his support.

As a self taught drummer I booked in with Ben to basically check if I was doing things right! He reassured me that I was, and he helped identify areas to improve on. Genuinely nice guy and an invaluable lesson.
